Liberty Academy at the Priory is a church affiliated institution, which operates as an outreach ministry of Swallowfield Chapel. It was established out of the need for more Christian schools, which openly teach the Word of God. It commenced operation on September 5, 1994 on the grounds of Swallowfield Chapel, but was relocated to 66a Arnold Road in 1998. The school was later moved to 32 Hope Road in January 2003 and, renamed Liberty Academy at the Priory.

The High School Department was established in September 2007, in response to an outcry by parents, for an alternative High School Programme for secondary students.

The school currently offers a partially inclusive programme of education, catering to 285 students between the ages of three and eighteen (18) years. Currently, there are four departments:

  • The Kindergarten Department
  • The Junior Department
  • The High School Department
  • The Exceptional Needs Department

Liberty Academy is a registered Non-Profit organization with Tax Exemption Status. It is also an independent fee paying institution, which operates under the guidelines of the Jamaica Independent Schools’ Association. When it was accredited by the Ministry of Education in 2001, the school was commended by the Ministry of Education for its excellent standards in programme delivery, management and accountability, as well as, high student and staff morale. This remains the same today.

Liberty Academy, which is in its nineteenth (19th) year of operation, has developed a reputation for enriching the lives of students, parents and staff; inspiring them to “Achieve God's Standards”.
