As a community based charity, the Jeanette Grant Woodham Education Foundation (JGWEF), depends on the support of Jamaicans here and abroad to fulfil its manadate. All the funds raised from this Fundraising Dinner will be used to provide bursaries to needy students who display excellence in academics, sports, arts and culture.
Our mission is to stimulate excellence, raise the educational performance of students and increase the number of students who matriculate to tertiary level training by funding grants and bursaries for students.

To date the Foundation has held two Award Ceremonies at which it has awarded sixteen top students across all five grade levels at the Tivoli Gardens High School and assisted three past students to attend the University of Technology and the Mico University.
Tivoli Gardens is a community from which few of the youths are able to progress to college or university. This is mainly due to lack of financial resources, teenage pregnancy, violence and poor family structure. Despite these issues, at JGWEF we have set very high expectations for these students. We want our students to understand that irrespective of where they live they can still overcome and succeed.
This is why every dollar raised from our Fundraising Dinner will give needy students a chance to complete secondary school and go on to attend university. We will also implement programmes including a homework programme and a mentorship programme at the school.
So let's really make this happen for the students of the Tivoli Gardens High School.
