The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, in partnership with Langhart Communications, proudly presents Anne & Emmett, a powerful one-act play written by acclaimed journalist, author, and playwright Janet Langhart Cohen.This moving production imagines a conversation between Anne Frank, the young Jewish diarist whose life was cut short during the Holocaust, and Emmett Till, the 14-year-old African American boy whose 1955 murder became a catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement. Through their dialogue, Anne & Emmett explores themes of prejudice, injustice, courage, and hope while highlighting the enduring impact of their stories on generations around the world.Experience this thought-provoking theatrical event that brings together two iconic voices from history in a conversation that remains relevant today.
