'A Beginner’s Guide to the Night Sky' - a play about family, music, and the stars

Join The Villains Theatre for an observational astronomy class that moves through music, memory, and magic to teach us about what we can see from our tiny place in the universe. 'A Beginner’s Guide to the Night Sky' introduces us to Léo, a young nonbinary person, who invites us into their mother’s observational astronomy class. The effervescent and unabashed Albertine tells us about the stars through music, metaphor, and story, teaching us songs to sing along with her and enthusiastically showing us the universe from her perspective. Inviting the audience to enjoy the night sky, learn about the universe, and sing a capella songs together, this play is an hour-long piece of queer magic that is heartbreaking, uplifting, and full of joy. This is an outdoor show; in case of rain the event will be cancelled. Please bring your own chair or blanket for seating! AGE NOTE: This is a show that has been attended by audience members from 2-92, but it does contain some serious subject matter and some swearing in French.
