Animals in the Wild - Day Camp

In this day-long pay-what-you-can program at the Black Rock Community Hall and associated trails, children 6 to 11 years old will have fun and learn about local and native wild animals, exploring the forest through their eyes. We will spend the majority of our day outside, with a combination of games, educational activities and nature play (exploring aspects of animal biology, diversity, and forest habitats). Participants learn to observe wildlife respectfully, identify local species, and understand and respect their habitats. Through simple field activities, small-group adventures and nature play, we nurture curiosity, care for the land, and a lasting connection to the natural world.
