Shediac Mascarade
May 27, 2027
About This Event
Atlantic Canada's grand summer social: three days of masks, manners, and mischief, set between 1811 and 1865, the very years Shediac was built. It opens on the evening of Friday the twenty-eighth of May at Parlee Beach, a Vauxhall by the sea included with any ticket. Saturday and Sunday move to the Neptune grounds for promenades, period food and drink, merchants of the age, a murder to solve before Sunday supper (the children have stolen tarts to worry about), and on Saturday night, the Masked Ball. Come in full Regency or Victorian dress, or simply in a mask and a willing frame of mind. The only wrong answer is your real name. Tickets go on sale on the twenty-ninth of October at ten in the morning, at mascaradeshediac.ca.
