Alligator Pond is a fishing community on the south coast of Manchester. The property consists of mainly sand dunes with some being vegetated. The natural sediment on the Alligator Pond Beach differs based on location. The sand toward the back of the beach and on the dunes tends to be medium to coarse grains of brown coloured sand. The sediment towards the front of the beach features fine to medium grains of dark brown coloured sand with a quite gentle slope. The properties located on the beach are homes of the fishermen and are the only structure located on the beach. There is no organized garbage disposal or collection mechanism in place.
