For nearly six decades, the three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has entertained audiences with their top-shelf musicianship and timeless hits. Now the time has come for the band who has carried a torch for American country and roots music to say so long to the highways and by ways they’ve crossed an unimaginable number of times throughout their career.

On March 21st, 2024, the Dirt Band will kick off the first leg of their last traditionally scheduled gigs, ALL THE GOOD TIMES: The Farewell Tour. This isn’t goodbye forever, but it will be the last fans see of multi-city runs and long bus rides. These special shows will celebrate the music created by the legendary, yet ever-evolving NGDB.

In Japanese, the word “Kodo” holds a double meaning. It can be translated as “heartbeat,” the primal source of all rhythm. However, our group’s name is written with different characters, which mean “drum” and “child.” This reflects Kodo’s desire to play the drums with the simple heart of a child. For our 40th anniversary, we created two works based on our name: “Tsuzumi” takes its name and theme from the drum character, and “Warabe” from the child element.

In “Warabe,” Kodo looks to its classic repertoire and aesthetics from the ensemble’s early days. This production blends simple forms of taiko expression that celebrate the unique sound, resonance, and physicality synonymous with Kodo—forever children of the drum at heart.

Variety recently honored her with their Creative Impact in Comedy Award, which follows her inclusion in their "10 Comics to Watch" and "Comedy Impact Report." She has also been inducted into Forbes 30 Under 30 and TIME100 Next, in addition to being named one of the "100 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood" by The Hollywood Reporter. The celebrated comedian is coming off headlining the seventh highest-grossing comedy tour of 2023, remarkably the only woman to break into the Top 10. She has released three hour-long specials for Netflix: Quarter-Life Crisis (2020), Look At You (2022), and Have It All (2024), the latter having debuted at #1. Tomlinson is notably the only female late-night host on network television and the youngest by two decades following the outrageously funny debut of After Midnight on CBS, currently airing weekdays at 12:37AM ET/PT.
