Since El Puerto first opened its doors in 2005, owner Catalina Bazán has strived to provided an authentic and fast Mexican restaurant to her loyal customers.​ Taking no shortcuts in the process​:• The Aguas Frescas are always made from fresh ingredients never concentrate. • The hard taco shells and tortilla chips are both made in house. Using tortillas from a local family own shop. • The rice, beans, & meats are always made and seasoned by our chefs.​On September 01, 2019, Catalina open her second location inside the Carlsbad Windmill Food Hall.
