The Herberger Theater Center is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. We are Arizona’s center stage, engaging the community through diverse arts experiences that ignite emotion, stimulate conversation and inspire connections to the arts.
We achieve our mission by adhering to five guiding principles:
- Maintain an award-winning venue with a variety of well-equipped and versatile spaces
- Provide an exceptional guest experience for all visitors
- Partner with — and support — our resident performing arts companies as well as other local and national artists and arts organizations
- Deliver quality education and outreach programs to thousands of children
- Make the arts accessible and available to our whole community
The Herberger Theater Center was conceived in as a pivotal piece in the redevelopment and revitalization of downtown Phoenix. Built in 1989 to support and foster the growth of performing arts in Phoenix as a performance venue and arts incubator. Each year, approximately 165,000 patrons, including 30,000 school-aged children share the unique experience of live performing arts.
