About this event

March 10-11, 2016, will see the staging of the first ever, Women in Energy Conference for the Caribbean Region. Spearheaded by President & CEO of the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS), Kelly Tomblin, this event will be held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Kingston, Jamaica, under the theme: ‘Doing Power Differently.’ “The conference is designed to urge women who are involved in the energy sector to utilize their full voices to address the challenges and opportunities present globally,” states JPS Boss, Kelly Tomblin. “Having spent the last 25 years in this business, I know that women have more to say and more to contribute on all of these issues.” The goal of the conference is to motivate and empower female professionals to reach their full potential and advance their careers in a traditionally male dominated industry. This premier meeting will bring together a cross-section of the region’s successful women leaders in the energy arena, in an environment of sharing, collaboration and mentorship. Women leaders will share their industry knowledge, experiences, and strategies for accelerating positive organizational change and personal growth. Participants are expected to leave the conference with practical strategies, insights and guidance on how to propel their careers forward, overcome hurdles typically faced by women in male-dominated industries, as well as guide and lead future female leaders. The conference will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, interactive group discussions and networking opportunities.
