About this event
Feeling the midday slump, or carrying tension on your shoulders? Take a well-deserved 30-minute break to hit the reset button with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP). Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is an evidence-based technique that involves systematically tensing and releasing muscle groups. It is a powerful, proven tool to help you manage both physical and mental stress. Progressive muscle relaxation is widely known to: • Lower Stress Hormones: PMR is clinically shown to reduce cortisol levels. • Release Physical Tension: Notice where you hold stress and learn how to let it go. • Regain Control: Build a greater sense of control over your body’s automatic stress response. • Sleep Better: Regular practice supports deeper, more restorative rest. This is a fully guided, practical session. No prior experience or special equipment is needed, just a quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably. Give yourself permission to pause. Join us to breathe, release, and return to your day feeling lighter and more focused.
