Aznavour and the Legends

French chanson takes center stage in a tribute concert featuring the music of Charles Aznavour, Édith Piaf, Jacques Brel and other defining voices of the genre. The performance takes place Tuesday, November 17 at the Julius Littman Theater in North Miami Beach. Led by singer and pianist Ghassan Yammine, the concert brings together live musicians for a program rooted in the romance, poetry and dramatic storytelling of classic French song. Aznavour and the Legends centers on the work of Charles Aznavour, whose catalog includes enduring songs such as “La Bohème” and “Hier Encore.” The program also draws from the broader French chanson tradition, with selections associated with Piaf, Brel, Yves Montand, Gilbert Bécaud and others. Yammine continues his North American tour following performances in cities including Paris, Venice, Belgrade, Yerevan, Dubai, Brussels and Alexandria. His interpretations emphasize the expressive vocal style, theatrical phrasing and emotional intensity that have long shaped the chanson repertoire.
