About this event

Join Nova Scotia author Tanya Sullivan in downtown Halifax for the official launch of In Too DIEP: Travelling Through Breast Cancer, a deeply personal memoir of resilience, survival, identity and rebuilding. In Too DIEP tells the story of Tanya’s journey through Stage 3 breast cancer, treatment and DIEP flap reconstruction, but it is also about everything that happens around a cancer diagnosis — the unexpected changes to our bodies, relationships, identity and the life we thought we were going to have. Years in the making, the book follows Tanya through some of the most difficult and transformative years of her life, blending honesty, humour, vulnerability and the perspective that comes from looking back on an experience that changed her in ways she could never have anticipated. Join Tanya at Pazzo Ristorante & Enoteca for an afternoon of conversation and connection, including a reading from In Too DIEP, a Q&A, book signing, light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the author. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Members of the breast cancer community — warriors, survivors, supporters, friends and family — are especially welcome, along with readers who simply appreciate an honest story about resilience, reinvention and finding your way forward when life takes an unexpected turn. Sunday, September 20, 2026 | 1:00–3:00 p.m. Pazzo Ristorante & Enoteca | 1566 Barrington Street, Halifax Admission is free. Advance registration is encouraged.
