"I AM MDC" Day Community Parade

Miami Dade College’s (MDC) West Campus will celebrate I AM MDC Day with its annual community parade through Doral, led by MDC President Madeline Pumariega and City of Doral Mayor Christy Fraga. Escorted by the Doral Police Department, the parade will begin at Doral Central Park and make its way to West Campus, bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members in celebration of MDC’s 66th anniversary. Upon arriving at West Campus, participants will gather at the monumental stairs of Building 2 for a commemorative group photo and a special $15,000 scholarship contribution and check presentation from the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The event is part of MDC’s I AM MDC Celebrations, an annual initiative highlighting 66 years of changing lives through education and raising funds to support scholarships, academic programs and student success initiatives for current and future MDC students.
