Join us in Downtown Kitchener for a vibrant celebration of Día de los Muertos, a meaningful Mexican and Latin American tradition honouring and remembering loved ones who have passed. Now in its fourth year, Día de los Muertos brings the community together through music, art, food, performance, tradition and joyful remembrance. Throughout the day, enjoy lively mariachi music, cultural performances, family-friendly activities, traditional foods, beautifully decorated altars (ofrendas) and opportunities to learn more about the traditions and meaning behind this special celebration. The celebration will take place at Carl Zehr Square in front of Kitchener City Hall, creating a central gathering place for the community to come together, celebrate culture and share in the traditions of Día de los Muertos. Whether you are familiar with Día de los Muertos or discovering the tradition for the first time, everyone is welcome to join us for a colourful and engaging celebration of life, remembrance and community. Presented by the Downtown Kitchener BIA in partnership with TLN Media Group.
