Norfolk's Fallen on the Vietnam Battlefields Program

Author and historian Keith Walton will share his newly revised book, The Last Full Measure: From America’s Heartland to the Battlefields of Vietnam – Remembering the Fallen from One Nebraska Town. The book tells the stories of the nine servicemen from Norfolk who died in the Vietnam War, including new information on the recent repatriation of a pilot’s remains who had been missing in action for more than 57 years. Walton interviewed many family members, friends, and Vietnam-era veterans in order to understand and honor the lives of these men who gave the last full measure. The nine men included in the book are: Dennis Anderson, Jerry Allen, Thomas Scheurich, Jerold Meisinger, Jerrome Chandler, Claude Van Andel, Roger Hundt, Steven Strube, and Michael Wemhoff. Book sales will follow the event.
