On One, their debut LP for Pure Noise Records, the band dug deep into their 90s rock influences, marrying high-octane guitar riffs with buoyant choruses and threadbare attitude that demands listeners attention.<br><br>The result is an album that stands up squarely to the sound of right now but shines with an aura of timelessness, one that effortlessly pays tribute to bands like Foo Fighters and Third Eye Blind without appearing regressive. <br><br>Its a musical style the Chicagoland bandvocalist/guitarist Ryan Rumchaks, vocalist/bassist Tyler Albertson, drummer Emanuel Duran and guitarist Joe Colesbyhave forged through years of relentless touring alongside acts like State Champs and Knuckle Puck (for whom Rumchaks plays bass) and past releases, but its never been as calibrated as it is on One.<br><br>When we first started touring, that was a really big growing experience, Albertson adds. This record shows us having seen a lot of the world and starting to form a lot of views about it. I think our old music was more homebody.<br><br>A Will Away<br>Connecticut rock group A Will Away seemingly came from nothing limited by location, resources and community but something this genre-bending band has never been short on is inspiration.<br><br>A decade on from playing basements in their hometown, A Will Away have put themselves on the map with rigorous touring and constantly refining their sound to craft catchy and approachable modern rock songs with significant depth for careful listeners. Creating honest and unapologetic music with an endearing blend of grit and charm has always been at the heart of the bands mission and has earned them a loyal following with three EPs and a debut album under their belts. Relatable lyrics that speak of the hardships in life connect with audiences through a shared love of the human experience, making light of serious matters and exploring the mundane.<br><br>Stew (due 2/18/22 via Rude Records) continues A Will Aways practice of carefully constructed narratives and contextual clues, that the band refers to as breadcrumbs, sprinkled throughout their body of releases, for fans to follow and discover where it leads them in due time. Whether with lyrics, artwork, themes, titles or tone, there is much more than meets the eye with this intuitive act and their latest effort invites you to delve deep below the surface to find out more.<br><br>Valleyheart<br>Art should incite conversation not only with our friends, family, and loved ones, but within ourselves as well. Valleyheart inspire internal and external dialogue through layers of cinematic alternative rock, lyrical eloquence, and dynamic vocals. The Massachusetts trioKevin Klein [vocals, guitar, producer], Chris Babbitt [bass], and Zakk Nix [drums]might just make you ponder love and life a little more closely with their second full-length album, Heal My Head [Tooth & Nail Records]. The group canvas the biggest and smallest corners of emotions alike, which has garnered them millions of streams and acclaim from American Songwriter, FLOOD, Vanyaland, and more. <br><br>At an individual and communal level, we deal with trauma and unsettling questions of our identity and existence, Kevin observes. From a lyrical perspective, I wrote this album to talk about and unwrap those things in my own life and relationships. When you open this door, theres a lot of pain to sift through, so Im trying to create a language for listeners to have those conversations. I hope its a platform for people, so they dont feel alone as they go through life.<br><br>Valleyheart continue to build an emotional bond with audiences everywhere. Following the 2017 Nowadays EP, they deepened this connection with their debut album, Everyone Ive Ever Loved, in 2018. Friends In The Foyer eclipsed 877K Spotify streams as the band took home Rock Artist of the Year at the 2019 Boston Music Awards. On its heels, the Scenery EP arrived to widespread acclaim. FLOOD noted, they explore powerful, accessible soundscapes in an adequately sized package, and Substream Magazine hailed them as equal parts boldness and beauty. Throughout 2020 and 2021, they assembled what would become Heal My Head at sessions at The Halo Studio in Portland, ME with longtime collaborator and co-producer Kevin Billingslea and at The Record Company in Boston, MA. Kevin Billingslea and Kevin Klein co-engineered, co-produced, and co-mixed the album, with a portion of the record being self-produced by Klein at his home studio.<br><br>Khamsin<br>Nashville, Tennessee dreamo trio Khamsin take you on a profound journey through vocalist Jacob Curry's grieving process in the wake of his father's passing on their new album What's Left of Life?<br><br>Featuring twinkling precision and fuzz-ridden guitar-work, both odd and sway-worthy rhythms and Curry's vocals, which shift from gentle tenor to throat-shredding vocal fry at a moment's notice, the album defies typical genre restraints, appealing to fans of everything from slowcore to hardcore.<br>Not only does the musical variation of the album grasp listener attention, but knowing the story behind the album makes it all the more captivating.<br><br>Khamsin's debut LP is a deeply personal concept record that explores the aftermath of the sudden loss of frontman Jacob Currys father. As a songwriter, Curry draws from both his upbringing in the evangelical church (Ill stick to my sackcloth and ash/Wont take down my harp and sing) and his background in biochemical research (Dye front flows/Wont you follow?). The 9 tracks constructed from the artful, dynamic post-hardcore and impressionistic lyricism are stories detailing newfound anxiety, grappling with your own mortality, and relishing in the past to stabilize your future. </td>
