Roll up your sleeves ahead of National Bread Day with a hands-on sourdough workshop led by Chef Michael Hackman of aioli Sour Dough Bakery & Café!
This two-hour, semi-private class walks you through the fundamentals of sourdough from start to finish, including the 12 steps of baking — mixing, folding, shaping and scoring — plus how to care for and feed a starter at home. The evening includes complimentary wine and light bites, including aioli’s signature butter bar, house-made charcuterie and freshly baked sourdough straight from the oven.
You’ll also take home a portion of aioli’s own sourdough “Mother,” nurtured by Hackman for more than a decade, so you can keep baking long after the class ends (and make your own homemade bread on the actual holiday!)
