Did you know that during World War Two nearly 6000 Canadians working on RADAR were sworn to an oath of secrecy that was not fully lifted for 50 years? The Secrets of Radar Museum is dedicated to preserving the experiences, stories and history of the remarkable men and women who helped build, develop, operate, maintain and defend Canadian radar, both here in Canada and abroad. The museum's exhibits and activities share information on radar history, training, significant people and places, and technology.
They exist for the following reasons:
- To preserve the history and artefacts of the men and women who have served on radar with the Canadian military
- To educate the public on the history of radar in Canada
- To provide a therapeutic setting for veterans
The museum offers guided tours, school programs, off-site talks and evening programs.
Admission is by donation.
