Shubert Theatre

Broadway playhouse at 225 West 44th Street in the Theater District of Midtown Manhattan. Opened on October 2, 1913 as the Sam S. Shubert Memorial Theatre, it was designed by Henry Beaumont Herts and is operated by The Shubert Organization. Its 1,502-seat, three-level auditorium hosted the original A Chorus Line for a record 6,137 performances as well as long runs of Crazy for You, Chicago, Spamalot, Memphis, Matilda the Musical and Hello, Dolly!. The facade and interior are New York City landmarks.
