Cry Baby Gallery

This venue brings together a cocktail bar and working art gallery in Toronto's west end. The front gallery has white-painted brick walls and hosts a regular programme of solo and group exhibitions, giving the space a fresh look with each show.

Behind a heavy velvet curtain, the setting changes into a windowless cocktail lounge with a darker atmosphere. Peeling walls, exposed pipes, a butcher's block bar, yellow neon lighting, circular mirrors, and reclaimed warehouse windows give the room an industrial look with retro touches. Artistic wallpaper lines the lounge, and the bathrooms feature artwork created by local artists who have exhibited in the gallery.
